等待。。。

My trip back to KL 25th May - 27th May

After I came back from Perth, I went back to KL the following weekend with KC and some colleagues to attend my Project Lead's Wedding Dinner in Concorde Hotel. We took Executive coach from the travel agency "5 Star" after work on Fri. Well, it was my first experience to travel in such a luxury coach, with individual TV in front of the seat (with games & movies selection), the seat is embedded with massaging mechanism. The fare is SGD15 more than a normal Super VIP which is SGD31+15=SGD46.We reached Serdang ard 1245midnite, my Dad picked us up. After settling down, we dozed off coz we need to wake up ard 6am next morning.

So, in Sat morning, we went out ard 7am to the place where the bride was staying in Seksyen 17. I wasn't very sure about the place as I have not been driving in KL after I work in Singapore. Whooh, but luckily we managed to find the place with the self-drawn map given by my project lead, hehe! We arrived there quite early, so we went out to have breakfast. We took photos when we reached there. Before the bridegroom fetched the bride to his house, there were door games played. After that, we followed the newly weds to their new house. I somehow got lost half-way, passed by many tolls (haha!!), travelled 2 times more than the actual journey. But finally, we managed to find the place with the help from KC by looking at the map and instructions. We toured around the place, it is indeed a spacious and beautiful house. We had our lunch before we left the place.

After taking an afternoon nap, we prepared ourselves to go for the wedding dinner. Again, I lost a bit of my way too...Whooh, but this time was not so bad, just made a wrong turn somewhere but managed to reach the hotel on time. The food served was delicious and there's something to highlight, hehe...In the mid of the dinner reception, there's toasting of bouquet from the bride. So all the single gals lined up before the stage including me. Guess what, I got the bouquet, hohoho! Pretty exciting huh...

On Sun morning, we went for 'Dim Sum' together with my parents. Well, had quite a lot of dim sum there. After that me, KC and Serena went to Jusco near my place to shop. We then met up with my elder sis's family to have lunch together. My bro-in-law then fetched us down to Federal Hotel to wait for the coach back to Singapore. That's about the trip...

I'm back from Perth...

20th May(Sun) was my last day in Perth. It was indeed a nice place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere there. Been visiting to many places that are not found in Asia country such as the vine yards, beautiful ocean, desert...etc This was my very first trip to overseas (despite the experience of crossing the causeway from Malaysia to Singapore) I experienced the beginning of winter there...frankly, I loved the weather there...from morning till evening, around 16-18°C. But it's kinda cold at nite, approximately 5-8°C. Heater is needed occasionally to keep us warm.

I attended the church service in the morning...then went for 'Hong Kong Dim Sum' (haha, imagine having 'Dim Sum' in Perth...) It's operated by Asians of course, didn't take photos there though, just the shop & places around it. After a satisfying meal, we went to the wet market to grab the 'Persimmons'. It's selling at AUD3.99/kg (if I'm not wrong...) Me & Mum bought some back. Initially my sis wished to bring us to a shopping mall, but we couldn't get a car park, so we turned back to her place to get some rest and do our final packing.

Ard 620pm, my sis brought us for dinner at a Thai Restaurant called 'Sarathai'. They served very tasty & delicious Thai food there with a reasonable price too. I tried Tom Yam noodles, my sis ordered a Spring Roll noodles and Mum ordered a grilled beef with rice. After we finished our dinner, we rushed to the airport coz we are a bit late but somehow we managed to check-in as scheduled. So we said 'Goodbye' to my sis and headed to the check-in counter.

One last thing I need to mention...The wine that I bought from Swan Valley was being confiscated coz I totally forgot about it. The new rules & regulations to board on a flight is: bottles/containers that can store liquids that is exceeding 100ml are not allowed to hand carry, you must pack it in ur baggage. I was very very sad coz it was the first ever wine that I liked the most among all wines which I've ever tried until today...Boohoohoo!!

The flight departed from Perth International Airport at 935pm and arrived at Singapore Budget Terminal at 305am...KC came and picked us home, very sweet of him rite??

My 5th Day in Perth...

Guess what?? We'd almost late for the day tour this morning...was very rushing while reaching Perth City train station, ran all the way to the travel agency coz the bus was about to depart in 1 minute, pretty exciting but was not a good idea to run in chilling weather. I was breathless by the time I jumped up to the bus, kept coughing...Well, managed to settle down after some rest.

This is my last tour in Perth and it was the longest trip I had so far. Departed at 8am from Perth City and returned around 930pm. The first spot that we went was Margaret River, it is known as one of Australia's finest wine regions and also blessed with natural beauty. We stopped half way for morning tea at Jolly Frog Cafe Garden, bought Bacon & Tomato Burger, Blueberry muffins, Chicken Egg sandwich, a cup of flat white(it's coffee with more milk). Then we headed to Xanadu Winery to taste wine, both white & red. Didn't get any this time as I don't really keen in drinking wine, haha!

After that we continued our journey to Eagles Heritage Raptor Centre, at the meantime enjoyed our lunch there. We saw different species of eagles & owls and the PIC there gave us very good & interesting explainations. Next, we headed to Mammoth Cave, one of over 300 natural underground limestone caves in the district. We then travelled south, passed by stunning Boranup Forest, a visual highlight of the region before arriving at Augusta's famous Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Some travellers had an afternoon tea there, frankly, the wind is extremely strong and the ocean is simply amazing...deep blue sea and beautiful waves!

Finally, we reached a cafe for a light dinner at the Busselton Jetty, it is known as the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere. We had beef steak and fish and chips for dinner. Very delicious & wonderful...I only managed to take 1 photo of Busselton Jetty (coz the memory card of the camera is out of storage, haha!!) Anyway, it was reaching towards the end of the tour...Reached home around 1045pm...

My 4th Day in Perth...

Since I had a pretty tiring day yesterday, so I woke up quite late this morning...hmm, around 10:30am. Took my late breakfast ard 11plus, then we were off to visit a place called 'Swan Valley'. The very first location that we visited was the chocolate factory. It is very impressive ok, hundreds of different variaties of chocolates are available there. The display is very interesting and the packaging is very nice indeed. Didn't get any chocolates back though coz pretty expensive, but tried the ice-cream there...Rum & Raisin + Expresso with Chocolate, yummy yummy!! 2 big scopes in a waffle cone costs AUD5, shared among my sis, me and my Mum...

After that we headed to a vine yard for wine tasting. I bought a bottle of wine, taste little bit sweet and goes well with fruits, ice-cream..etc Next, we went to place where they sell Australia's Honey. When we reached the place, there are free samples for all the different types of honey. I didn't tried coz busy taking photos, not a honey lover too! Then, we went to the Nougat factory. Free samples to try again, Mum bought a small packet of assorted nougat for people in Msia. After all the factory visitation, we headed to a supermarket nearby. About 315pm, we went back to my sis's place for a late lunch.

Didn't go anywhere in the afternoon coz we are going to City for dinner later. There were 5 people going to City including 2 housemates of my sis (a couple)...went to an Italian restaurant, had the famous Chilli Mussels, Pizza and Pasta. Took a nite stroll around Perth city coz normally the shops close ard 530-6pm during weekdays and close at 9pm on Thurs & Fri. Tmr will be joining the last tour in Perth to Margaret River. Okiess, got to sleep now!! Continue when I'm back tomorrow!!

My 3rd Day in Perth...

I got up ard 7am, pretty early as compared to other days. Mum & sis prepared the things for making sandwiches for our lunch later.Headed to the train station and took the train to Perth City.We reached the tour agency right on time, boarded the bus and we were ready to go!!!

Firstly we visited the 'Caversham Wildlife Park'. Here I had the opportunity to touch and feel the real Koalas, hand feeding the Kangaroos & took photos with them. After that we headed to Pinnacles Desert. It took about 1.5hours drive from Wildlife Park to Pinnacles. We stopped by a motel's cafe for lunch then continued the journey after that. We took quite a lot of photos at Pinnacles, some look like an elephant, some are like standing kangaroo...etc We spent about 45mins there, pretty hot when we were there!!

Next, we travelled down to Lancelin. This took us another 2 hours plus...whooh!!! I just slept all the way, pretty tiring, haha! OK, the whole place is covered with sand...smooth white sand. We experienced the 4-wheel driving in the giant 4WD over massive Lancelin sand dunes and the chance to try sand boarding. Initially I thought the sand boarding was pretty scary & fast but actually you may not be able to slide down smoothly and it's highly depends on the texture and the smoothness of the sand. I stopped half way while boarding down, haha!!

Lastly we went back to Perth City. Reached about 7pm, my sis brought me & Mum to have dinner at a Japanese Restaurant called 'Taka'. The food there are not that expensive, ranging from AUD5 and above for a set, free flow of hot tea. After that we went back home to rest.

My 2nd Day in Perth...

Well, I had better sleep as compared to yesterday, even if I still sleep on the floor with sleeping bag and a pillow. Woke up ard 9 plus in the morning, prepared myself and had breakfast. Had a little upset with my Mum again...Sighzzz, I guess we can't get along well. I have to bear with her for another 4 days before I fly back to SG. I miss KC, miss all my frens & colleagues. I think if I were to come here with other people, the trip will be much more nicer and enjoyable. Accompanied my sis to her Uni coz she had an appointment for Rubella injection. After that, me, Mum & sis went to City again to buy the most famous 'Apple Struddle'.Then went to Bell Tower to take a walk and snap some photos.

After eating the delicious Apple Struddle, my sis went for class. Me & Mum followed her to her Uni which is Curtin University on foot. The Uni is pretty huge, we walked and took photos along the way and finally managed to find our way back to my sis's place. After my sis came home, we prepared ourself and headed to Victoria Park for dinner. The restaurant is called '天天来', direct translation is 'Come everyday', haha! My sis works there part-time, so we had special discounts and free desserts too!!

After that, 3 of us walked along the Victoria Park then went back home to rest coz tmr will be joining the local tour to Pinnacles Desert, Lancelin, Caversham Wildlife Park...

My 1st Day in Perth...

I didn't have a good nite sleep last nite, was so cold and I slept on the floor with only sleeping bag but luckily with pillow. I got some backache and shoulder pain when I woke up in the morning, I quickly jumped onto my sis's bed when she left for class coz I really need some proper rest. After lunch, my sis sent me & mum to Perth City for a day tour.

Well, it's more like sigh-seeing and some history introductory session to me...Anyway, we stopped by the Frementle Suburb. We walked around the place for about 1.5 hours, had Subway for tea break, Mum bought T-shirts for my niece & nephew. Stopped by King's Park botanical gardens for 15mins...Other than that, we passed by places like University of Western Australia, Royal Perth Yacht Club, Old Swan Brewery, Barrack Street Jetty, Maritime Museum, Motor Museum, E Shed Markets...The day tour ended ard 530pm, and guess what, it's very dark (like 7pm in SG) Whooh, truly experience the beginning of winter in Perth.

Had 'Sizzler' for dinner with frens & housemates of my younger sis...we ordered steaks, pork ribs, chicken chop and it comes with free flow salad bar, ice-creams, desserts, fruits, soft drinks & hot beverages...Yum Yum!! After a heavy meal, we all went to Burswood (the casino in Perth) for visitation. Since my sis is a member of the casino, we can have free flow hot beverages...Well, that's about my first day in Perth, hehe!!

The day l flied to Perth...14th May 2007

My flight from Singapore to Perth was scheduled on 1550, 14th May 2007 by Tiger Airways. I booked the air ticket back in Feb, 07 as I saw the promotion thru the net. This time I travel with my Mum. (Frankly, going on vacation with elderly people is not as fun as you thought of sometimes, hehe!!) We reached the Budget Terminal around 1 plus in the afternoon by cab. I took some photos there, inside and outside the terminal. Tong (used to be my net pal...) called me while I was checking in. He met me at the terminal since he had free time...after that 3 of us went to Han's for snacks & coffee. Abt 3pm, me & Mum went into the Boarding Gate. I was quite excited by then as I haven't flied for a long long time.

The seats for Tiger Airways are not very big (I think it should be bigger if you fly on other airlines), quite new in a way, no food served but they sell some on the plane (so do prepare some SGD...) The duration from SG to Perth took about 4 hours and 45 minutes. We reached Perth International Airport around 850pm. After clearing of our baggages, called my sis to pick us up from the airport. The weather is cold at nite, freezing...Finally my sis & her housemate (Jessie) appeared, was so glad that I saw my younger sis after so long...

Reached my sis's place and the first thing I did was online, sending out sms...Gosh, I missed my KC and frens in SG so much...Never knew that I will have this feeling!! We then went for a lite supper at Fast Eddy's, ordered wedges with sour cream & milk shakes!!

The other shots were taken in the bus...me & KC reached Bishan, didn't know where to go around 4-5pm, so we just got into a bus...No. 55, just took a tour from Bishan to Marine Parade area...then loop back to Bishan again. (I know it sounds stupid...but it's quite fun!) Later at nite, we had very nice Bak Kut Teh at Alexandra Market, then took some pics with the toys selling in IKEA.

Fever, sore throat, coughing and headache hit me last Thurs morning...I have no choice but to see doctor during lunch hour. Got 1/2 day MC, well, coincidently KC was on MC too so he came and picked me up from my work place...I rested at home the whole afternoon, met him for dinner...I got worst on Fri morning, my head was very heavy and just made me want to sleep. At last I decided to take panadol & took bath...Got better after that, went for dinner and then took a nite stroll at West Coast Park. Had Latte & KC ordered 'Mochachino' from Mc Cafe...pretty nice. Thanks to all my frens & colleagues whom are concerned about my condition...of course biggest thanks to my KC for always being there for me!I'm getting better now!

Spider Man 3...

It's the first day screening of Spider Man 3. Me & KC went to SHAW at Bugis to catch the show at 12:25noon. Well, as expected, the cinema was full house. Luckily KC booked the tickets online yesterday, hehe! Peter Parker is still good in his acting, and he has got the 'bad guy' look in the movie this time. I would say it's worth a watch...so start to plan and find your movie date for this movie ASAP...Oh yeah, there's this 'miniature' of spider man character selling now at Burger King when you purchase any Kid's Meal set or with any Value Meal set + SGD1.85. I've got one and sticked in KC's car...If you are a great fan of Spider Man...go and grab it!!

Our Moments together...

Well, I just love to capture the sweetest moments together either with frens, colleagues and of course now with the one I love...My bf used to tell me: 'I prefer to recall the scenes or moments through my memory, it's more beautiful...' Perhaps for a person with superb memory like him can experience that but definitely not applicable for me, hehe! I believe most people will love to see or experience by themselves rather than plain description of how wonderful a thing, person, place really is...I just want to share my happiness & sweetness of my life thru the moments that I have captured. My favourite saying still "Treasure it when you have it, else you'll regret when you loose it..."
