祸不单行。。。

上个星期三被‘裁’，上个星期六扭伤了脚。真的是好倒霉哦！不过在每个人的爱心照顾下，我康复的很快，再过一阵子就能像以往一样蹦蹦跳跳叻。看跌打也不便宜呢，每次去复诊都要花上39元，其实那位中医师还要我去多一次的复诊呢！！现在真的要好好照顾自己，在最关键时刻，健康是很重要的，饭可以少吃一餐半餐，健康是不能少的。记住咯！！

我是幸福的。。。

19/11/2008 是我一生中最难忘的其中一日。我被公司“裁”掉了，告别了工作生涯！对于整件事，它来的非常突然，（18/11/08）我还刚从马来西亚回来，PM就致电给我，告诉我这个坏消息，要我做好心理准备。隔天回到公司，跟HR谈妥一切的手续后，我便到自己的座位收拾属于自己的东西。哇！真后悔在公司放了好多的货，吃的啦，喝的啦，用的啦，穿的啦。。什么都有！再还未离开那个原本视为“残酷无情”的地方时，我跟要好的同事们互相拥抱，顿时之间，我感受到温暖和幸福。眼泪不停的滑落，心跳却如此强烈，身体的温度不断上升。。。我好舍不得离开我亲爱的“姐妹们”，但却无法继续留在这里，告别了！！

POOH BEAR为了我向公司请假，把东西放到车子后，就和另外一位朋友一同吃午餐。之后，我们就到处逛逛。好久没在周日到City去，感觉很不一样。接着陪同KC的妈妈回家去，晚餐的时候，他们全家人都知道我的遭遇，很庆幸的，我得到大家的支持及鼓励。这的确是我最需要的安慰。谢谢你们，我一定不会让你们担心，我会加油的！！

Something to look forward...

From the first look, I didn't notice much about this potrait...As I noticed further and tried to figure out the essense of the real meaning behind it, I can visualise there's something to look forward, I can sense the moment of truth, love and joy. He is the man that I have locked my heart for, a man that I will be spending the rest of my life with, a man that will walk with me till the end of the road...

High Tea Buffet at Hilton Hotel 11/10/08

Thanks to Kelissa and Connie for the thought of bringing me to a High Tea buffet as a pre-celebration for my Big Day. It was indeed a pleasant moment to catch up and relax our mind of doing something different than normal routine. The buffet starts from 12noon till 4pm, a pretty good timing for lunch and high tea in one session. I loved the desserts, snacks and pastry the best!

Zhou Zhuang Buffet High Tea

Went to 'Zhou Zhuang' and had late afternoon high-tea buffet with KC just now right beside Anchor Point. Ordered quite a lot of dim sum, cold dish, pastries and dessert. It was a satisfying meal but must control a bit coz there's not much time left for me to achieve my ideal weight for my Big Day, haha!!!

Dinner at JUMBO, East Coast Park

Had dinner with KC's family at JUMBO, East Coast Park yesterday to pre-celebrate KC Mum's 61st Birthday.They ordered 'Black Pepper Crab','Butter Crab','Deep Fried Soon Hock','Salted Vege with Seafood Soup','Baby Squid', 'Pork & Mutton Satay','Sweet & Sour Pork','Cereal Prawn','Baby Kailan','Yam Paste with Ginko Nuts'...

Surfing Net while perming hair???

Indeed it's true...after my wedding photo selection, I decided to perm my hair in City Square after lunch at Kim Gary Restaurant...Saw this "Pro Trim" at level 3, just beside "Thomas & Guys"...They quoted me RM220 for perming+treatment+cut of my current length. Sounds reasonable, so I went in. Didn't realise there is LCD flat screen monitor placed in front of every seat. No wonder I didn't see any magazines laying around, all customers are allowed to surf net while doing your hair treatment. Pretty Cool, isn't it?? Here I am updating my blog while doing my digital perm. Impressive!

Wedding Photo Viewing and Selection...

Yes...it's 16/8/08, as scheduled me & KC went to JB in the morning. Reached Dawn's Wedding Bridal Shop around 11am. At first I was pretty worried about the result of my photos because there was this hairdo which KC said as if I was wearing 'tudung'...Anyways, the fear is no longer in me now. Yupe, we managed to pick and choose 27 photos of our favourites and the BEST thing was we did not top-up even a single cent on top of our original Bridal Package!! WOW...we did it!

Generally the photos were fine, definitely not too nice until we can't bare to let go...but most of them were pleasant. Sorry that there isn't any that I can bring home and show to you all...Hopefully my dear friends and family members have the patience to wait. I would say choosing 'Dawn's Wedding is the right choice.

Cutaneous Larva Migrans...

BUT, please assure that you are not in the mood to start a meal...coz it's quite disgusting, hehe! I have this skin problem since (didn't really know when)...It started off with a red dot like a mosquito bite...if you leave it for few days, it tends to get swollen and turned redish like a normal pimple. If you leave it for a few days more, you'll notice that the pimple evolved to a small watery thingy that caused a little pain and itch. Don't scratch it else it'll cause a secondary bacterial infection to develop.

Good-Bye AIA Tampines...

My company has decided to move to a new place in Upper Seranggon North this weekend. Well, it is claimed to be bigger in capacity, newer & nicer in terms of overall presentation. So our department will start packing this coming Thurs & Fri. All things must be moved out from this building by end of week. Not so eager to move eventhough the location seems nearer to the central area coz my overall journey is still 1.5hrs and more troublesome!

That new place is within an industrial park, no nice shopping malls and yummy food nearby...I'm starting to miss Tampines, ha!

Pooh Bear Master's Convocation, Class of 2008

Today is another special day in my life history, to be able to minister and celebrate this big day with Pooh Bear...YES!! This ceremony was held in Nanyang Auditorium, 2.00pm. He has obtained his Master Of Science (Information Systems).I attended together with Pooh's parents. The whole ceremony took about 1.5 hrs, we had simple refreshment after that.

20/07/2008...A day that created a new record in my history. I got my One & Only LV Bag...a very generous gift from my Pooh Bear. THANK YOU, POOH...You are my LV for a lifetime!

Pooh Bear & I were a pair of victim to this event. We didn't expect much actually, they collected SGD38 per couple, I expected a buffet style high-tea or perhaps a 5 course wedding dish. To our disappointment, they only served very 'pathetic' finger food and soft drinks without gas. The whole idea of this event is a 'failure'...except for couples which has signed up their wedding packages on that day.

We were gathered under one roof, in an elegant church...BUT, all the booths were also reside around the hall. So when the speaker was giving their speech, the sales person from different booths were also selling & explaining their wedding packages at the same time. It was like a market place then.

Hmm, not a good experience!!

Bridal Photo Shooting...17/07/2008

So this is the day...Went to JB around 915am, reached about 10 plus...Had a quick breakfast, Pooh Bear had his yummy yong tou fu with dried kway tiao...as for me, soya milk with char siew pao.Started my make-up at 1045am until 12 plus...Our photographer is Henry, and his assistant Gary.

First station was Singapore Botanic Garden, pretty nice place actually with flowers and trees as our background...weather is sunny. Received greetings as we passed by some foreigners, hee! Second station was Chijmes, then towards the Art museum. Last station was all the way to the East - Changi Beach.

It was a tiring day coz too much smiling and posing...with my gown so tightly hooked around my chest, hardly breathe properly. Another thing would be the thickest make-up that I've ever had, haha! Pooh Bear was worried abount his smile for being too fake, keke! We shall see the results on 16/08/2008.

Changing of URL...

Why changed?? Sometimes we need some tiny little changes or adjustments towards our daily life as if we don't change...life is just a routine that can drag us for another 30 to 50 years. Stages-of-life-journey, this is what I've been experiencing from time to time till today...I like this phrase, it reminds me that everyday is a unique and blessed day...2 days later, I will capture my first and only bridal shots with the one I'm marrying end of this year...exactly 1 month down the road, I will celebrate my 1 year and 4 months anniversary with the one I'm so much in love with...and it goes on and on...

Don't change if you are happy with what you have or how you feel at the present moment...Should you feel lack of sparks and motivation in what you are doing and feeling, then CHANGE for the better...

Shukudo @ Raffles City...

Had a meet up session with my very old good buddy back in my secondary school - Connie. I decided to have dinner at Shukudo located at the basement of Raffles City. Reached there around 635pm, no queue yet. So I went in first and ordered a waffle with honey & butter coz I was pretty hungry...after that, went to order a cup of Japanese Yorgurt Drink (doesn't taste anything like yorgurt though...keke) While waiting for Connie, I went for another round again, picked 1 yakitori, 1 bacon with asparugus, 1 shitake mushroom. Finally she came, then we ordered Japanese Omelette with mushrooms & cheese, Gyoza, Japanese Pizza with BBQ Eel & Cheese, Mocha Slush Ice with red bean...I went there the 2nd time actually, not much variety. I guess I've ordered all the 'can try' things

Brewerkz!!

Me, KC and my gal friends include Sharon, Diana came out for a special chill out cum chatting session last Sat. KC's fren 'Raymond' and my fren 'Connie' joined in a bit later. Having the thought to dress up like a lady out of no where...perhaps inspired by the movie 'Sex and the City'...I'm sure all gals feel good to doll up a little once in a while. Honestly it was quite fun to have some kind of gathering, talk about life, work, changing ideas. I have to say that 'Brewerkz' is indeed a great place for dining, drinking and catching up because the environment is simply SUPERB!!

Choosing Bridal Gown for Outdoor Photo Shoot!

KC & I booked our Bridal Shop since last year Dec during our day trip to City Square, JB. Coincidently there was this 'Bridal Fair/Road Show' held in the center of the atrium. Initially we just wanted to K-Poh by flipping through the photo albums displayed by the participators. The first bridal shop that we went was 'Dawn's Wedding'. The sample album of a couple taking photos in Perth caught KC's attention. We then served by 'Serene' and sat down for the 'phsycho-ing' session, ha!! After a long-winded chat, the feeling of signing up for bridal package was quite strong but we were uncertain because we haven't really visited any other BS. Somehow, we felt that they are pretty sincere and flexible, so we decided to take 'Dawn's Wedding' as our BS.

Sex And The City....

Yupe...watched it last Friday nite with Pooh Bear. Kinda inspired by the gorgeous gals in the movie..Nice hair, dress, bags, shoes, accessories...etc It just makes me feel so good and eager to be in my 40's. Impressed by the friendship or sister-hood they have maintained thus far...

It's not that simple afterall...Hmmm!

Well, sometimes I thought that my marriage journey will be simple...Register for marriage, having wedding reception, buying a house, go for honeymoon...etc Eventhough I am having a simple wedding, not much preparation, simplified a lot in the Chinese customary...Having only 1 day of outdoor bridal shoots, inviting not more than 150 people for my wedding luncheon...

BUT...roses ain't always red, violets ain't blue when you want it to be! Buying a house, deciding where to stay,the type of house, whom to stay with is causing so much probem and huge complication. I just want a simple home...somehow it's not that simple afterall...

My Very First Concert...

Today is 15th March, 2008.The 11th month anniversary with Pooh Bear.We went for the Traders Hotel's complimentary Bridal Extravaganza from 1pm to 430pm.After that we went for a walk around Orchard area,took quite a lot of photos...Pooh Bear told me tat he has a little surprise for me...Drove me along the way to the East.Didn't have any hint or clue of what he had in mind.He just told me to 'wait'...We settled our dinner at Expo, Macau restaurant.We walked straight up to MAX Pavilion @ Singapore Expo with the crowd, still clueless...I saw the Food Festival poster hanging along the way,thinking tat Pooh Bear wanted to bring me for the Food Fair.(Oh Gosh,we just had our dinner...He should have told me earlier so tat I don't eat)Finally,he told me that 'real thing' that we are going for Jeff Chang's concert!Hooray...My very 1st concert in my life this far!He is soooooo SWEET!

Finally...Pooh Bear proposed to Piglet in a special way!

Reached the car park, he asked me to bring along the bouquet. I was kinda relunctant coz a bit shy to do that. But then, he told me there's no lunch with his frens...Just the 2 of us, he booked a hotel room for 1 nite stay and he managed to bring my clothes too!!

Checked-in room. The room is very nice & cozy...the interior design is pretty unique too!!!

After resting for a while, we went out and walked around the nearby places like Clarke Quay, Chinatown Point, Audio House (Had a nice and inexpensive Jap bento at Medi-ya) Reached hotel about 18:30pm. The dinner will be served at 19:00pm

We reached the restaurant...No customer yet, we were served with champagne. Then we decided on our 4 course dinner. It was so quiet the whole nite, just the 2 of us...(as if he reserved the whole restaurant just for me & him alone...haha)

Completed our dinner...walked back to hotel room.
